Some of Ralf Hannes works show dogs and their human-made surroundings. In this video work you can see fur being moved and flattened by an invisible object.
The upper part of the painting by Ralf Hannes is painted differently than the lower one. The color dissolves almost into monochrome noise but with shapes still visible.
This animation shows the artist‘s view from ‘inside’ with his eyes closed. What remains is only some flickering noise. For Ralf Hannes, this is a state in which his subconsciousness is more likely to become visible for him and thus to be a part of any motives of future works. No matter if pictorial or cinematic.
